Launching a successful product is no easy task. It requires good design, elegant use of technology and a smart approach to fundraising. Last Monday evening CIID hosted their first NYC event; ‘Getting to good quicker’.
CIID is excited to share that we are hosting a New York event on the 26th of October, in collaboration with Barclays Bank and Rise New York. The event is called ‘Getting to good quicker’ and will bring together speakers from The New York Times, Spotify, Tomorrow Lab and Kickstarter, to talk about their experience of launching successful products. We are super excited to send you news about the upcoming “Design Matters” conference about digital experiences and game-changing design that will be happening this Fall in Copenhagen.
“It has been and still is a huge challenge for me as a designer to work on a topic like Dementia – with no prior experience other than from my own family, I’ve run into hurdles along the way of my research – participants from time to time forget that we’ve spoken before or even who I am – that’s one example of a challenge I’ve had to take in consideration when designing my research.” Rita Maldonado Branco about her codesign work with people with dementia.
For the last two weeks, Simone Rebaudengo (Frog, Shanghai) & Joshua Noble (Teague, Seattle & CIID alumni) have been teaching a course on the Secret Life of Objects at the Interaction Design Programme here at CIID.
This year the Consulting team will be teaching a one week introduction to Service Design during CIID’s summer school! Due to the high level of interest in the Applied Service Design Techniques workshop we are considering running it twice!
Delta’s IdemoLab and the Danish Design Center teamed up this week to create a two-day participatory conference on designing smart products. Together with SONY CIID Research fellow, Satoshi Nakamaru, I attended the conference to get some inspiration and insights on the current state of smart products.
