Last weekend was the Global Service Design Jam. The GSJ is a non-profit activity organized by an informal network of service designers, who all share a common passion for growing the field of service design and customer experience.
This year I was honoured to be invited as a reviewer for the Stanford Medicine X conference, that Helle and I presented at last year. I was naturally very curious to see how different folks write submissions, especially when coming from a mix of backgrounds – designers, scientists, entrepreneurs and healthcare professionals.
We would like to say a big welcome to our newest addition to the team. Calle Nordenskjold has joined CIID Consulting as our lead Industrial Designer.
CIID Consulting has just completed an executive training course with the design team at INDT/Microsoft in Brazil. Over the course of an intense five day workshop held in Recife, CIID exposed a team of interface and visual designers to methods that aim at accelerating their innovation process and empowering them to work more collaboratively.
Long a global powerhouse in shipping, business and finance, Singapore has invested heavily in recent years to build its design-driven economy as well. Starting in mid-January, a team of three designers and educators from CIID Consulting has been busy helping advance this effort, with a three-week masterclass series on “Designing Interactions” held at the National Design Centre in collaboration with DesignSingapore.
CIID Consulting would like to take a moment to tell you about two of our great new hires. In January, Francesca Desmarais joined as an Interaction Designer and Anders Højmose as our new Design Technologist. Both Anders and Francesca have a blend of great design thinking and prototyping skills.
